In their Game 1 comeback victory, the New York Knicks leaned heavily on their bench players, with Cameron Payne notably playing a pivotal role in their success.

However, Zach Braziller of the New York Post points out that, since that game, the Knicks’ depth has failed to make a significant impact in the subsequent matchups.

While New York’s reserves had a strong showing in Game 1, they have been overshadowed by the Detroit Pistons’ bench contributions, particularly from players like Dennis Schröder and Malik Beasley, who have delivered impressive performances.

Braziller raises concerns that the Knicks’ lack of bench production could become a major issue in the series if it doesn’t improve, especially with Detroit’s reserves stepping up.
