Ja Morant was absent from the Memphis Grizzlies’ practice session on Thursday due to a sprained right ankle.

The injury occurred during the third quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

Despite the setback, Morant returned to the court and finished the game.

Since then, Morant has been dealing with considerable swelling in the affected ankle.

To aid his recovery, he has been undergoing continuous, around-the-clock treatment in hopes of improving his condition ahead of the team’s next matchup.

Commenting on Morant’s status, head coach Tuomas Iisalo emphasized the uncertainty surrounding his availability.

“If he’s physically capable of playing, he absolutely will,” Iisalo stated. “At this point, it’s a genuine game-time decision.”
