A tough loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday has put the Golden State Warriors in a difficult situation as they try to secure a playoff spot. With only two games left in the regular season, the Warriors now sit in seventh place in the Western Conference.

According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, the team faces a scenario where, if the Grizzlies win their final three games against Minnesota, Denver, and Dallas – and the Clippers defeat the Kings on Friday and the Nuggets beat the Rockets on Sunday – the Warriors would be locked into the play-in tournament, even if they win their last two games.

Golden State’s remaining opponents are the Trail Blazers and the Clippers.

In response to the team’s current state, Stephen Curry said, “A good team takes care of business the next two and goes from there. We have to prove we’re a good team.”

Curry emphasized that the Warriors must show their quality by finishing the season strong and handling their business on the court.
