The Houston Rockets secured their 50th win of the season with a commanding 143-105 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.
Jalen Green led Houston with 22 points, while Dillon Brooks added 21 in a game where the Rockets shot 54% from the field. Alperen Sengun contributed 15 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists, narrowly missing a triple-double. Jabari Smith Jr. also made an impact off the bench with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Houston controlled the game early, using a 17-6 run to close the first quarter with a 33-26 lead. By halftime, the Rockets had extended their advantage to 70-46, leaving Utah with little chance of a comeback.
Isaiah Collier paced the Jazz with 22 points and 10 assists, while Collin Sexton added 18 points. Walker Kessler recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, but Utah struggled offensively, shooting 43% from the field and just 25% from three-point range.
Brooks was issued a technical foul in the first quarter after appearing to kick Sexton on a loose ball. If not rescinded, it would be his 16th of the season, leading to a one-game suspension.
Houston outrebounded Utah 63-39 and dominated second-chance points 23-6, further cementing their control. The win secured the Rockets a top-six seed in the Western Conference, marking their best regular season since 2018-19.
Utah has now lost seven straight games and holds a 1-17 record since the end of February. Injuries continued to plague the Jazz, with Jordan Clarkson, John Collins, Lauri Markkanen, and others sidelined.
