Dylan Harper has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, opting to leave Rutgers after an impressive freshman season.

The talented guard, widely projected as the No. 2 overall pick, made a strong case for himself with standout performances throughout the year.

Reflecting on his time at Rutgers, Harper acknowledged the invaluable lessons he gained from the experience.

“I’ll remember all the life lessons this season,” he told ESPN. “The ups and downs and good and bad. Staying leveled.”

His journey was marked by challenges and triumphs, shaping him into a more resilient and composed player.

Harper showcased his versatility on the court, averaging 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

His efficiency was solid, as he shot 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.

His dynamic skill set and ability to impact various aspects of the game have led to comparisons with NBA star James Harden.

“NBA teams saw I am an all-around player,” Harper said, emphasizing his adaptability.

“I can do whatever it takes to win. Whether it’s score, defend, or facilitate. Anything coach needs me to do.”
