The Brooklyn Nets have secured a two-year deal with forward Drew Timme, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. The agreement comes after Timme’s standout performances in the G League, where he was recently named Player of the Week.

Timme, 24, has impressed with the Stockton Kings and Long Island Nets this season, averaging 20 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 30.2 minutes per game. He also posted a career-high 50-point game, showcasing his offensive firepower.

Before his G League success, Timme went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft. He signed with the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2023 Summer League but was waived shortly after. His journey then took him to the Wisconsin Herd, where he posted 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 12 games. However, his season was cut short due to a left foot fracture, which required surgery.

After recovering, Timme signed with the Sacramento Kings in October 2024 but was waived just hours later. He later joined the Stockton Kings before being traded to the Long Island Nets in December.

Timme’s exceptional recent form, including a 35.7-point, 12.7-rebound week, has clearly caught the attention of the Nets. Despite Brooklyn’s disappointing 23-50 record this season and their official elimination from postseason contention, the franchise is looking ahead with this new acquisition.
