The NBA has fined Trendon Watford, Myles Turner, and Andrew Nembhard for their involvement in an on-court altercation during the Indiana Pacers’ 105-99 overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets on March 20. The league announced the penalties on Thursday, citing the players’ roles in escalating the incident.

Watford and Nembhard initiated the altercation before the Nets guard-forward struck Nembhard with a right forearm to the chest. Turner then escalated the situation by shoving Watford, prompting officials to assess technical fouls to all three players.

Watford received two technicals and was ejected, leading to a $35,000 fine. Turner was also fined $35,000 for his role in the scuffle, while Nembhard was docked $20,000 for starting the incident.

The altercation took place with 4:48 left in the fourth quarter at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Despite the scuffle, Indiana maintained its composure and secured the victory in overtime, strengthening its playoff positioning in the Eastern Conference.

Brooklyn, struggling to stay in the play-in race, failed to capitalize on a late lead before falling short in the extra period. The fines mark the latest disciplinary action as the league continues to enforce its rules on in-game confrontations.
