Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is expected to miss the start of the team’s six-game road trip after suffering a pelvic contusion, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Curry sustained the injury during Thursday night’s 117-114 win over the Toronto Raptors when he landed hard on his tailbone after a drive to the basket. He exited in the third quarter and did not return for the final 15 minutes.

The 37-year-old is expected to miss the start of the Warriors’ upcoming six-game road trip, beginning Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks, as he undergoes treatment.

Curry has been a key contributor for Golden State this season, averaging 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in 32.2 minutes per game.

Despite his absence, Jimmy Butler recorded a triple-double to lead the Warriors to victory over Toronto, extending their strong post-trade deadline run to 16-3.

Golden State, currently 40-30, remains in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race, while Toronto (24-46) continues to struggle in the East.

The Warriors will monitor Curry’s progress over the next few days before determining his status for the remainder of the road trip.
