Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III is set to miss significant time after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee.

NBA insider Chris Haynes reported that Williams will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks as he recovers from the surgery to address inflammation.

Williams, 27, has been limited to just 20 games this season, averaging 5.8 points and 5.9 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game off the bench.

The injury is another setback for the big man, who has struggled with durability throughout his career.

Portland (31-39) currently sits 12th in the Western Conference, facing an uphill battle to reach the Play-In Tournament.

With Williams out, the Trail Blazers will rely more on Deandre Ayton and their frontcourt depth to close out the season.
