The Golden State Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings 130:104 on their home court in an NBA game on Thursday. Their leader Stephen Curry made his 4,000th three-pointer in the game, breaking an incredible record for the games. At the Chase Center in San Francisco, in front of 18,064 spectators, a day before his 37th birthday, Curry became the first basketball player in NBA history to make four thousand three-pointers, and his team extended its winning streak to six, the longest of the season.

Before this game, the “Warriors” star needed two accurate three-pointers to reach this limit. He did it in the third quarter. The fans immediately jumped to their feet and celebrated the player’s feat with great enthusiasm, and during the break in play, a film dedicated to him was shown on the big screen.

Previously, on December 14, 2021, at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Curry broke Ray Allen’s league record of 2,973 successful shots from the line. Now, he has added more than 1,000 such attempts.

Stephen Curry spoke after setting the sky-high record

“It’s a clear milestone. A number that I didn’t think was possible when I got 2,974, breaking the previous record. It’s beyond my wildest dreams to get this far,” the hero of the evening said.

In Thursday’s game, Curry scored 11 points, had five assists, two rebounds, and one steal and one block. The Warriors, with eight players scoring in double figures, were led by Draymond Green with 23 (an individual season high), Jonathan Kuminga, who returned after missing 31 games with an ankle injury, with 18, and Moses Moody with 17.

For Sacramento, which lost its third game in a row, DeMar DeRozan had 23 and seven assists, and Keon Ellis had 18.

Golden State is sixth in the Western Conference with a 38-28 record, while the Kings (33-32) are ninth. They are led by the Oklahoma City Thunder (54-12), ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets (both 42-24).

The leaders in the East and the league are the Cleveland Cavaliers (55-10), ahead of the defending champion Boston Celtics (47-19) and the New York Knicks (42-23).

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 109-104 at home in Tuesday’s NBA game. It was their 15th consecutive victory, tying the club record. The league’s current best team had a similar streak at the beginning of the current season.

The home team was led by All-Star Darius Garland, who scored 18 of his 30 points in the decisive fourth quarter of the team’s 31-18 victory. Jarrett Allen added 23 points and 13 rebounds, and Evan Mobley had 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

The Cavaliers had to cope without key players Donovan Mitchell (injury), De’Andre Hunter (illness) and Ty Jerome (rest).

The Nets were led by Cam Thomas with 27 points, Cameron Johnson with 17 and Ziaire Williams with 14.

Coach Kenny Atkinson’s team has a 55-10 record, the fifth-best record at this point in the season in league history. They were the first team to secure a playoff spot and now they’ve clinched the top spot in the division at the end of the regular season.

“What did we do? Oh, we secured the Central Division title. That’s something. We had fun tonight. We’re still celebrating the little things,” Allen, the center, said with a laugh. His team also has the league’s best home record: 30-4.

Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks. The deciding 3.4 seconds

The Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks game ended in dramatic circumstances, with the Indianapolis team winning 115-114. The victory was secured 3.4 seconds before the end of the fourth quarter by Tyrese Haliburton, who made a play for… four points. First, after a pass from Andrew Nembhard, who was putting the ball into play, he hit a shot from behind the arc, where he was fouled by Giannis Antetokounmpo, and then he successfully executed a free throw. The Greek leader of the guests tried to make a three-pointer from a clean position just before the final buzzer, but his attempt was off target.

“It’s like a play in football. It was great to see how it works. The first time we played in training camp two years ago, I made a shot the same way. I haven’t gotten the ball since then,” noted the hero of the four-point play, noting that his teammates were running on crossing lines before it started.

Haliburton, who missed the previous three games due to a hip injury, finished the game with 14 points and 10 assists. The most effective player in the winning team was Cameroonian Pascal Siakam – 25 points and 12 rebounds, and Bennedict Mahturin added 17.

The most points for the defeated were scored by Brook Lopez – 23 and Antetokounmpo – 19, who also had 17 rebounds.

This decision made the Pacers equal with Tuesday’s opponent in fourth place in the Eastern Conference (after 36-28). The Cavaliers lead (55-10), ahead of the defending champion Boston Celtics (47-18) and New York Knicks (41-23).

In the Western Conference, the leaders are Oklahoma City Thunder (53-12), Denver Nuggets (42-23) and Los Angeles Lakers (40-23), who did not play on Tuesday.
