Indiana Pacers forward Pascal Siakam has been fined $25,000 for “confronting and directing profane language toward game officials” after Saturday’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, the NBA announced in an official press release.

Siakam, a three-time All-Star who was selected for this year’s event, played a key role in the closely contested game, which ended in a narrow two-point loss for Indiana.

He finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block in 34 minutes of action.

The veteran forward shot 8-of-19 from the field and converted all six of his free throw attempts.

This fine marks Siakam’s first major disciplinary action of the season beyond a couple of technical fouls, which had previously cost him a total of $4,000.

According to Spotrac, it is also the first time he has been publicly fined by the league since 2021.

Last summer, Siakam re-signed with the Pacers on a lucrative four-year, $189 million contract as an unrestricted free agent.

He is earning approximately $42.2 million this season, meaning the $25,000 fine is unlikely to have a significant financial impact on him.

The Pacers will look to bounce back from the loss as they face the Chicago Bulls on Monday before returning home to take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
