The Boston Celtics are adding depth to their roster by signing forward Miles Norris to a two-way contract. NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Norris joins the team from the Memphis Hustle, the G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Norris, 24, has yet to make his NBA debut but has impressed in the G League this season. In 36 games with the Hustle, he has averaged 17.1 points and 5 rebound.
The 6-foot-10 forward initially signed with the Grizzlies in October but was waived before the start of the regular season. He then joined Memphis’ G League affiliate, where he developed into a key contributor.
Boston currently holds a 43-18 record, ranking second in the Eastern Conference as the team continues its pursuit of the top seed. Adding Norris gives the Celtics another developmental prospect who could provide depth in the frontcourt.
Norris is known for his ability to stretch the floor with his outside shooting while also contributing on the boards. His size and skill set align with Boston’s preference for versatile forwards who can impact both ends of the court.
As a two-way player, Norris will split time between the Celtics and their G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. His performance in the coming weeks could determine if he earns a more significant role with the team.
