Luka Doncic remains closely connected to his former club, Real Madrid, despite being in the middle of the NBA season. The Los Angeles Lakers star revealed that he watches both Real Madrid’s basketball and soccer teams whenever possible.

“Every time I can, every time I’m not doing anything, practicing or playing. I’m watching those, I mean both teams,” Doncic said, as reported by Ryan Ward. His continued support highlights the strong bond he shares with the Spanish club that helped shape his professional career.

Real Madrid’s basketball team is currently battling for a postseason spot in the EuroLeague. The 11-time continental champions hold a 14-13 record, sitting in 10th place. Meanwhile, in domestic play, they lead Liga ACB as they look to extend their dominance in Spain.

On the soccer side, Real Madrid has advanced to the Champions League Round of 16 and is tied for first place in La Liga with arch-rival FC Barcelona. Doncic, a well-documented fan of the club, has regularly voiced his admiration for their success across both sports.

While following Madrid, Doncic has also been focused on helping the Lakers secure a strong playoff position. Since joining Los Angeles, the 26-year-old is averaging 19.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists. The Lakers have gone 4-2 with him in the lineup and 16-4 over their last 20 games.
