Josh Giddey delivered a dominant performance as the Chicago Bulls cruised past the Philadelphia 76ers 142-110 on Monday night, ending their six-game losing streak.
Giddey recorded 25 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists, leading Chicago (23-35) to its highest-scoring game of the season. Kevin Huerter added 23 points, while Zach Collins contributed 19 as the Bulls controlled the game from start to finish.
Chicago jumped out to an early lead, hitting three of its first four three-point attempts to go up 21-12. The Bulls set a season-high with 75 first-half points and led by as many as 50 in the fourth quarter.
Matas Buzelis scored 17 points, and Coby White chipped in with 15 off the bench. Dalen Terry also provided a spark, scoring 17 points in just 21 minutes.
The 76ers (20-37) struggled again without Joel Embiid, who missed the game due to a knee issue. Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr. each had 19 points, while Tyrese Maxey managed 13 despite playing through a right finger injury.
Philadelphia’s defensive struggles continued as they surrendered 39 first-quarter points. The Sixers have now allowed at least 39 points in the opening frame three times in their last four games.
The Bulls shot 50.6% from the field and made 18 three-pointers, finishing with a 94.4% success rate from the free-throw line. They also won the rebounding battle 44-47 and committed just 13 turnovers.
Chicago played most of the game without Lonzo Ball, who exited in the first quarter after suffering a head laceration. Nikola Vucevic was also sidelined with left calf tightness.
Guerschon Yabusele left the game early in the third quarter for Philadelphia after taking a hit to the face, and Quentin Grimes exited with knee soreness.
The loss extends the 76ers’ skid to eight games, dropping them further out of the Eastern Conference play-in race. They have now lost 10 of their last 11 games and sit 2.5 games behind the Bulls for the final play-in spot.
