The return of New York Knicks players Mitchell Robinson and OG Anunoby to practice today marked the first time all season that the team has had a fully healthy roster, according to Peter Botte of The New York Post.
Robinson participated in full-contact practice for the first time since his offseason ankle surgery, while Anunoby rejoined after missing the five games leading up to the All-Star break due to a sprained right foot.
Although Robinson has already been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup against Chicago, his long-awaited season debut seems to be approaching. Head coach Tom Thibodeau is eager to reintegrate his defensive anchor into the lineup.
“You have to anticipate that the game’s gonna be different, so we’ll see where he is once he’s out there,” Thibodeau said.
“He’ll need a little bit of time. But the things that he can bring, the hustle, the ability to see things early, play pick and roll, rim-protect, offensive rebound; those are things he’ll bring right off the bat.”
