Mark Williams has officially rejoined the Charlotte Hornets and is expected to be available for Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

His return comes after an unusual trade situation in which the Lakers initially agreed to acquire him, only for the deal to be rescinded following his physical.

As a result, Williams did not immediately rejoin the Hornets and instead returned to the team after the All-Star break.

Looking ahead, Williams will have the opportunity to sign a contract extension with the Hornets during the upcoming offseason.

If an agreement is not reached, he will remain under contract until 2026 before becoming a free agent.

Wednesday’s game was originally set to take place on January 9th but had to be postponed due to the widespread fires in Los Angeles.

Additionally, the Hornets’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers was also affected, leading to a rescheduled matchup on March 16th, requiring another visit to Los Angeles later in the season.
