Bobby Portis had a blunt response when asked about Kyle Kuzma’s signature fashion style following the forward’s move to the Milwaukee Bucks. During an appearance on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back, Portis made it clear that Milwaukee’s nightlife doesn’t call for flashy outfits.

When Michelle Beadle asked if Kuzma would continue showcasing his bold fashion choices with his new team, Portis did not hold back. “You want me to be for real? Like, my totally honest answer?” Portis said, via HoopsHype. “Man, there ain’t nothing to be dressing up for in Milwaukee. You don’t need to put none of that on.”

The Bucks forward emphasized the quiet nature of the city’s nightlife, suggesting there aren’t many places worth dressing up for after games. “After the game, at 10 o’clock, everything’s closed. It’s shut down out there. Ain’t no *** to go out and eat at, none of that, man,” he added. “Hey, it’s time to go to the crib, lay down, and get ready for tomorrow. You don’t gotta do all that in Milwaukee.”

Kuzma, known for his unconventional fashion statements, has been one of the NBA’s most talked-about dressers over the years. His bold outfits, including oversized sweaters and eccentric color choices, have often sparked reactions from fans and players alike.

The former Washington Wizards forward arrived in Milwaukee as part of a trade deadline deal that sent Khris Middleton to Washington. In his first few games with the Bucks, Kuzma has been adjusting to a new system while helping Milwaukee maintain its position near the top of the Eastern Conference.

Portis’ comments reflect Milwaukee’s reputation as a basketball-first city, where players focus more on their craft than nightlife or fashion. While Kuzma’s wardrobe choices remain to be seen, it’s clear that his new teammates prioritize the game over appearances.
