Chicago Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis is ready to make a splash in the 2025 NBA Dunk Contest. The 20-year-old Lithuanian forward, known for his athleticism, has been selected to compete in the highly anticipated event.

Buzelis, who is averaging 6.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game this season, has seen his role expand in February. Over the past few games, he’s been posting impressive numbers, averaging 16.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game.

“I’m not going there to lose,” Buzelis said confidently when asked about the Dunk Contest, according to K.C. Johnson. His bold statement shows his determination to make an impact on one of the NBA’s most electrifying stages.

The 2025 Dunk Contest will feature an exciting lineup of dunkers, including Buzelis. He’ll be competing against San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle, Andre Jackson Jr. from the Milwaukee Bucks, and two-time champion Mac McClung, who currently plays for the Osceola Magic in the G League.

While McClung is a fan-favorite and has already made a name for himself in the Dunk Contest, Buzelis is bringing a fresh energy to the competition. His rise in February has made him one to watch, with his impressive combination of power and finesse on the court.
