In order to finalize their three-team trade involving Zach LaVine and De’Aaron Fox, the Chicago Bulls made the decision to waive Torrey Craig and Chris Duarte, opening up roster space for new additions Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter.
Craig, who had played in nine games for the Bulls this season, averaged 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Despite his solid contributions, his departure was necessary to accommodate the incoming players.
Duarte, who appeared in 17 games this year, had a more limited role, averaging just 2.1 points and 0.9 rebounds per game.
Both players will now look for opportunities with other teams, while the Bulls aim to strengthen their roster with the newly acquired talent.
