Collin Sexton scored 22 points and dished out seven assists to help the Utah Jazz end their eight-game losing streak with a 113-99 victory over the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

John Collins added 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting, while Walker Kessler pulled down 15 rebounds. Lauri Markkanen contributed 12 points, 11 boards, and three blocks as Utah secured just its fourth home win of the season.

Franz Wagner led Orlando with 37 points, making a career-high 18 free throws. Cole Anthony provided 23 points off the bench, but the Magic dropped their sixth straight road game and eighth in their last nine overall.

Utah built an early 24-11 lead behind a dominant stretch, scoring seven baskets on eight possessions. Collins fueled the run with a pair of dunks and a three-point play, while the Jazz outscored Orlando 16-0 in the paint during the first quarter.

The Magic fought back in the second, cutting the deficit to 39-35 after consecutive baskets from Anthony, Paolo Banchero, and Jett Howard. However, Utah responded with a 15-3 run, led by Sexton’s aggressive drives and free throws, to push the lead to 54-38 before halftime.

Orlando never got within single digits in the second half as the Jazz maintained control.

Banchero struggled offensively, finishing with nine points on 4-of-19 shooting.

Collins remained efficient, shooting 56% or better in three of those contests. His presence bolstered Utah’s frontcourt alongside Kessler and Markkanen.

Utah’s defense limited Orlando to 33% shooting overall and just 22% from three-point range. The Jazz also won the rebounding battle 51-43, with Markkanen and Kessler controlling the glass.

Keyonte George and Jordan Clarkson provided additional scoring off Utah’s bench, combining for 28 points. Clarkson hit four three-pointers, helping Utah maintain a comfortable lead throughout the second half.

The Jazz improved to 11-36, while Orlando fell to 24-26 as its road struggles continued.
