The Philadelphia 76ers have officially re-signed forward Pete Nance to a two-way contract, just one week after waiving him. The move comes as the team continues to shuffle its roster ahead of the playoff push.
The 76ers announced the re-signing, with President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey confirming the details. Nance, who initially signed a two-way deal on December 3, appeared in just one game with Philadelphia. During his lone outing against Portland on December 30, he contributed three points on perfect shooting from beyond the arc.
Nance’s brief stint with the Sixers was cut short when the team waived him on January 7. The 6’10” forward, who had a limited role in the NBA, showed promise during his time in the G League, where he averaged solid numbers. His ability to stretch the floor and play versatile defense had kept him on the 76ers’ radar.
Nance is the son of former NBA star Larry Nance Sr. and brother of current NBA player Larry Nance Jr.
