Cole Anthony led the Orlando Magic to a 103-94 victory over the New York Knicks on Monday night, scoring 24 points and helping Orlando snap a three-game losing streak. Wendell Carter Jr. added a season-high 19 points off the bench, as the Magic improved to 22-16 while holding the Knicks, who fell to 24-13, to their lowest point total of the season.

The Knicks played without Karl-Anthony Towns, sidelined due to right knee pain. Towns, averaging 25.3 points and an NBA-best 14 rebounds this season, was sorely missed as New York struggled to find offensive rhythm. Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges each scored 24 points, but the team shot just 18.2% from three-point range and missed all their second-half attempts until a late basket by Cameron Payne.

The Magic, missing their top four scorers due to injuries, relied on a balanced effort from their available roster. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 15 points, while Jonathan Isaac and Anthony Black provided key support off the bench. Orlando outscored New York 50-18 in bench points, a testament to their depth.

Orlando’s defense was pivotal, limiting the Knicks to 36-for-81 shooting overall. Their defensive intensity disrupted New York’s flow, forcing the Knicks to lean on Jericho Sims, who struggled offensively. Sims finished with just four points in 29 minutes despite grabbing 10 rebounds.

Carter Jr.’s efficiency stood out, as he shot 8-for-11 from the field, including three three-pointers. Isaac added 13 points and nine rebounds, bolstering Orlando’s inside presence. Despite being shorthanded, the Magic’s defense held firm, securing seven steals and five blocks.

The Knicks’ frontcourt rotation, depleted by injuries, failed to keep pace. Josh Hart grabbed 14 rebounds, but OG Anunoby and Sims struggled to generate consistent offense. Precious Achiuwa, who came off the bench, managed 10 points but couldn’t close the scoring gap.
