The Atlanta Hawks have officially signed forward Daeqwon Plowden to a two-way contract, bringing him back into the NBA fold. The move was first reported by NBA insider Michael Scotto, who highlighted Plowden’s strong showing in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks.

Plowden, 26, has been averaging 14.2 points per game while shooting an efficient 38.5% from three-point range for the Hawks’ G League affiliate. His scoring ability and perimeter shooting were key factors in earning him another opportunity at the NBA level.

This marks another chapter in what has been a whirlwind journey for Plowden over the past year. After signing a two-way deal with the Golden State Warriors in July, he was waived in late September. Just days later, he joined the Hawks but was waived during training camp before heading to the Skyhawks.

Plowden initially entered the league after going undrafted out of Bowling Green State University, where he earned All-MAC honors and became one of the program’s most consistent scorers and rebounders.
