The Memphis Grizzlies dominated the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night, posting a franchise-record 155 points in a blowout win at FedExForum.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the way with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks, while Zach Edey matched his scoring total with 21 points and grabbed 16 boards.
Memphis surged to 78 first-half points, their highest of the season, and continued the offensive onslaught in the second half. Desmond Bane added 19 points, Jaylen Wells contributed 17, and Ja Morant chipped in with 15 points and nine assists. This marked the Grizzlies’ third win in their last four games, improving their record to 21-10.
Toronto, now on a nine-game losing streak, fell to 7-24 overall. RJ Barrett delivered a strong performance with 27 points, while Scottie Barnes added 26 points and eight assists. Despite their offensive efforts, the Raptors struggled defensively, allowing the most points they’ve conceded this season.
The Grizzlies dominated the glass, pulling down a season-high 24 offensive rebounds that resulted in 33 second-chance points. Edey’s nine offensive boards highlighted Memphis’ dominance inside. Their rebounding edge contributed to a decisive third-quarter run that stretched the lead to 22 points.
Frustration boiled over for Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic, who was ejected early in the fourth quarter after receiving two technical fouls for arguing with officials.
Offensively, Memphis shot 53.2% from the field, including 40% from beyond the arc, with contributions from the entire roster. Luke Kennard scored 15 points off the bench, while Brandon Clarke and Scotty Pippen Jr. added 11 and 15 points, respectively. The Grizzlies’ 36 assists highlighted their cohesive ball movement throughout the game.
For Toronto, Chris Boucher provided 15 points off the bench, but the team’s defensive woes overshadowed individual contributions.
