Houston Rockets power forward Jabari Smith Jr. believes that the defensive intensity of Tari Eason, Amen Thompson, and Dillon Brooks are super important to the group.

“Teams definitely hate playing against us, that’s a known thing. But it’s an effort thing. We’ve got guys like Tari [Eason] and Amen [Thompson] and people who really are making it hard on guys and that makes our defense go up another level. Dillon [Brooks], guys like that who just take so much pride in the defensive end and enjoy playing defense, it has no choice but to carry on to the rest of the team. So, teams definitely hate playing against us. They say we play hard. I think we lead the league in fouls or something like that. So we just play hard, make the game ugly, and that helps our defense.”
