Zach LaVine remains committed to leaving the Chicago Bulls despite continuing to play at a high level this season. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, LaVine has not wavered in his desire to be traded, even after more than a year on the trade block.

Windhorst reported, “Zach LaVine is having the best shooting season of his career, hitting 51% of his shots overall and 43% of his 3s. But despite this and even with more than a year on the trade block, there still hasn’t been any movement on a deal or any change of heart from LaVine and his desire to be moved from Chicago.” A source close to the situation reinforced this stance, stating, “Nothing has changed.”

The Bulls have been exploring trade opportunities for LaVine since last season, but no deals have come to fruition.

Despite the offseason passing without a resolution, the 29-year-old guard has continued to perform well, averaging 21.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 33.3 minutes per game this season.

LaVine’s shooting efficiency has been a standout aspect of his game. His 51% field-goal percentage and 43% accuracy from three-point range are career highs, demonstrating his value as an offensive weapon.

He is currently in the third year of a five-year, $215 million contract, with a player option for the final season. This substantial salary has reportedly complicated trade discussions, as potential suitors weigh the financial implications of acquiring the two-time All-Star.

Publicly, both LaVine and the Bulls have expressed a willingness to continue working together, but sources suggest the situation remains tense behind the scenes. Chicago has struggled to find consistency this season and sits ninth in the Eastern Conference with an 11-15 record.
