The Toronto Raptors have signed Canadian guard AJ Lawson to a two-way contract, according to a report by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Lawson, a standout in the G League this season, has been averaging 24 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for the Long Island Nets.

The 24-year-old’s return to Canada marks a homecoming for the Toronto-born player. His performance in the G League has earned him an opportunity to join the Raptors as they continue their efforts to bolster their roster depth.

Lawson appeared in 42 games for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2023-24 season, where he averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in just over seven minutes per game.
