The Sacramento Kings secured a convincing 140-113 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, powered by four players scoring 20 or more points. This victory improved Sacramento to 11-13 while dropping San Antonio to 11-12.
DeMar DeRozan led the Kings with 23 points, shooting 8-for-15 from the field and going a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line. Domantas Sabonis added a double-double, recording 22 points and 16 rebounds while shooting 58% from the floor.
De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk contributed 22 points each. Sacramento’s efficient offense set a season-high point total, with the team shooting 56.7% from the field and 47.1% from three-point range.
The Kings overcame a slow start, trailing by 13 points in the first half. They responded with a 50-27 run to close the half, flipping the deficit into a 69-59 lead by halftime. Kevin Huerter also made a significant impact off the bench, hitting all four of his three-point attempts en route to 16 points.
The Spurs, missing Victor Wembanyama for the second consecutive game due to a sore lower back, struggled to keep pace. Julian Champagnie was a bright spot, scoring a career-high 30 points, including six three-pointers. Rookie Stephon Castle added 15 points, while Chris Paul tallied 11 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds.
Spurs center Zach Collins was ejected in the second quarter after receiving two technical fouls for arguing a call. His absence further weakened San Antonio’s interior presence.
The Kings’ bench provided significant contributions, with Keon Ellis, Orlando Robinson, and Doug McDermott combining for 13 points. Sacramento’s reserves helped maintain the lead in the second half, ensuring the Spurs never threatened a comeback.
