The Cleveland Cavaliers secured their franchise-best 10-0 start to the season with a decisive 136-117 victory over the Golden State Warriors (7-2).

Darius Garland led Cleveland with 27 points, while Evan Mobley contributed 23, and Ty Jerome added 20 off the bench.

This win placed Cleveland in NBA history as the first team to start 10-0 while scoring at least 110 points in each contest. The Cavaliers’ potent offense allowed them to set a franchise record with a 41-point lead at halftime, tying the eighth-largest halftime margin in NBA’s shot-clock era. Their early lead was boosted by Garland and Mobley’s combined scoring, putting Golden State in a tough position.

Golden State, previously undefeated on the road, appeared fatigued in their fourth game of a five-game road stretch. Key Warriors players, including Stephen Curry, struggled to find rhythm, with Curry contributing only 12 points and committing six turnovers. Draymond Green was also subdued, scoring six points with six assists and four fouls, as the Warriors’ win streak came to an end.

Cleveland’s offensive force was undeniable even as All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell faced an off night, scoring only 12 points with a 4-for-13 shooting performance.

Garland and Mobley quickly filled the scoring void, with Garland draining multiple three-pointers to help the Cavaliers take an early 20-2 lead. Mobley added six points during this surge, establishing the Cavaliers’ dominance early.

Defensively, Cleveland held Golden State to 42 points in the first half, their lowest output of the season. Cleveland’s aggressive start included forcing Golden State to miss eight of their first nine attempts from the field, setting a tone that would continue throughout the game.

For Golden State, Jonathan Kuminga showed resilience, scoring a team-high 21 points off the bench, but the Warriors’ bench efforts were insufficient to bridge the gap.

Cleveland’s scoring was further complemented by Isaac Okoro, who added 16 points, and center Jarrett Allen, who grabbed 12 rebounds.
