Anthony Edwards led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 135-119 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night, scoring 33 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out six assists. This win moved the Timberwolves to a 5-3 record, while the Bulls fell to 3-6 after their fourth straight loss.

The Timberwolves rallied from a 13-point deficit in the final quarter. Edwards’ dynamic play helped Minnesota overcome a 95-90 disadvantage at the end of the third quarter, flipping the momentum and eventually securing the victory.

Chicago was effective from long range early, hitting 10 of 17 from beyond the arc in the first half. However, they cooled off in the second half, managing just 5 of 19 from three-point range, which allowed the Timberwolves to close the gap and take control.

Julius Randle also contributed significantly for Minnesota, finishing with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Rudy Gobert added 21 points and nine rebounds. Randle’s layup with 6:47 left in the game gave the Timberwolves a 107-106 lead, marking the first time Minnesota was ahead since the opening minutes.

Veteran guard Mike Conley chipped in with 14 points and 11 assists, providing valuable experience in Minnesota’s backcourt. The Timberwolves also shot efficiently in the fourth, converting 70.8% of their field goals, including 6-for-11 from beyond the arc, to seal the win.

The Bulls were led by Nikola Vucevic, who posted 25 points on 11-for-15 shooting, while Coby White contributed 24 points and eight assists. Despite strong individual performances, Chicago struggled to match Minnesota’s late-game energy, ultimately falling short in the fourth.

Minnesota’s 12-0 run in the fourth quarter, which ended 45-24 in favor of the Timberwolves, proved to be the turning point, with two three-pointers from Edwards giving the Wolves a 113-106 advantage and forcing Chicago to call a timeout. The Bulls were unable to mount a comeback as the Timberwolves continued to apply pressure on both ends of the court.
