DeMar DeRozan led the Sacramento Kings to a 122-107 win against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, scoring 27 points in a record-breaking performance. The victory improved the Kings to a 5-3 record, while the Raptors fell to 2-7.

DeRozan’s 27-point outing marked his eighth consecutive game with 20 or more points, setting a new Kings franchise record. His performance surpassed the previous record of seven consecutive 20-point games held by Chris Webber from 1999.

Domantas Sabonis added another stellar performance for Sacramento, registering his third triple-double of the season with 17 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds. Sabonis made all six of his field goals and all five of his free throws in the game.

Keegan Murray also made a significant impact, contributing 22 points and 12 rebounds. De’Aaron Fox, despite struggling with a finger injury, scored 21 points, though he shot just 5 for 17 from the field.

For the Raptors, RJ Barrett led the team with 23 points. Davion Mitchell, playing his first game in Sacramento since being traded to Toronto last summer, added 20 points. Despite a strong start, the Raptors struggled in the final quarter, being outscored 33-14 by the Kings.

Sacramento’s dominance in the fourth quarter proved to be the key moment of the game. After trailing 95-89, the Kings went on a 9-0 run, taking the lead for good. DeRozan started the surge with a jumper, and Malik Monk capped it with seven consecutive points.

The Raptors, who led for most of the first three quarters, faltered in the closing minutes. Toronto’s defense couldn’t contain Sacramento’s scoring barrage, allowing the Kings to pull away and secure the win.

The win marks another strong performance for Sacramento, while the Raptors continue to struggle. They have now lost four consecutive games, and their only win this season came in overtime against the Indiana Pacers.
