Ettore MessinaAccording to defensacentral.com, a Spanish sports website dedicated to Real Madrid news,  a meeting was held some hours ago (Tuesday night) between Real Madrid officials and Ettore Messina, where the Italian coach wanted to know the club's intentions and how they fit his own expectations by throwing some names on the table, besides discussing the other working conditions.

First of all Messina, who is not known to be working on half measures, wants to work with players that he has already worked with and trusts completelly like Nikos Zisis (who is very likely to leave CSKA due to his high salary) and Matjaz Smodis whose case might prove trickier due to his salary in CSKA and the fact that he's under contract untill 2011.

The other 2 players tergeted by Messina are Rimantas Kaukenas and Romain Sato. Kaukenas' contract ends in June and his salary is not considered too high (about 800.000 euros per year), while Sato's versatility and athleticism would bring some muscle to the team without losing in outside scoring.

It is heavily rumoured that Real Madrid offered Messina a 3 years contract worth a total of 5.5 millios eurps.
