The Golden State Warriors announced that De’Anthony Melton will be re-evaluated in a week as he continues to recover from a back injury he sustained last Sunday.

This injury will keep him out for the next four games, as the Warriors prioritize his health and long-term readiness for the season.

Head coach Steve Kerr emphasized that the team is taking a cautious approach to ensure Melton returns fully recovered.

“We want to make sure he’s in the best possible shape for the season. If keeping him sidelined for a week or two is what it takes, we’re prepared to take that step,” Kerr explained, highlighting the team’s commitment to Melton’s full recovery.

In other injury updates, Steph Curry is also on the mend and scheduled for a re-evaluation by team medical staff on Sunday.

If Curry continues to show progress, he could potentially rejoin the lineup on Monday, giving the Warriors a boost as they look to find their rhythm early in the season.

The Warriors are optimistic but cautious, aiming to have both players back in top form as soon as possible.
