The Oklahoma City Thunder improved to 4-0 by defeating the San Antonio Spurs (1-3) 105-93 on Wednesday night. Lu Dort led the Thunder with 20 points, while Chet Holmgren added 19.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 18 points despite shooting struggles. Jalen Williams recorded 12 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds in the victory.

Harrison Barnes was the top scorer for the Spurs with 18 points. Jeremy Sochan added 17 points and nine rebounds, while Chris Paul chipped in with 14 points and nine assists.

Victor Wembanyama faced challenges, scoring just six points on 1-for-5 shooting. He did, however, grab eight rebounds and block three shots.

The Thunder’s offense remained efficient, shooting 41.5% from the field and making 17 of 41 three-point attempts. In contrast, the Spurs managed just 41.2% shooting and struggled to generate offense.

San Antonio fought hard but could not keep pace with Oklahoma City. The Spurs’ performance was marred by low shooting percentages, contributing to their lowest scoring total of the season.

In the fourth quarter, the Spurs trimmed the lead to 82-75 before Oklahoma City responded with a 9-2 run. Rookie Ajay Mitchell played a key role during this stretch, scoring five points to extend the Thunder’s advantage.

The Thunder demonstrated their depth, showing that they can win even when Gilgeous-Alexander’s shot is off. He managed just 18 points while missing 13 of his 20 attempts, including eight from three.

Oklahoma City has won all its games this season by at least 12 points, showcasing their dominance in the early going.

The Spurs’ inability to find consistent scoring hurt them, particularly when trying to leverage Wembanyama’s skill set against Holmgren.
