Jimmy Butler’s 23 points and seven assists led the Miami Heat to a 106-98 victory over the winless Detroit Pistons on Monday night. Butler’s performance, alongside Terry Rozier’s 20 points, secured Miami’s first home win of the season as the Pistons dropped to 0-4.

Detroit’s Cade Cunningham started strong, making his first seven shots and scoring a game-high 24 points, but a shooting slump in the second half hampered the Pistons. Despite contributions from Tim Hardaway Jr., who added 20 points, and Isaiah Stewart, who grabbed 15 rebounds, Detroit couldn’t recover from Miami’s early fourth-quarter scoring burst.

Tyler Herro also played a key role for Miami with 19 points, while Bam Adebayo delivered a double-double, recording 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 12 points and nine boards, providing depth off the bench for a Heat team that has struggled with scoring consistency early in the season.

Miami established its momentum with a 12-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter, allowing the Heat to maintain a steady lead for the remainder of the game. Despite the absence of veteran Kevin Love, the Heat’s defense was effective in limiting Detroit’s shooting to 38% for the night.

During the game, Miami celebrated the 21st anniversary of Dwyane Wade’s debut, unveiling a statue in his honor outside the arena.
