Swaggy P, also known as Nick Young, recently shared a bold opinion, stating that Kevin Garnett was a better player than Tim Duncan.

According to Young, if Garnett had been in Duncan’s place on the San Antonio Spurs, the team would have experienced the same level of success, including multiple championships and deep playoff runs.

Young’s argument goes beyond traditional metrics like titles and accolades, emphasizing that individual greatness isn’t always reflected in the number of championships a player wins.

He believes Garnett’s versatility, intensity, and leadership on both ends of the floor would have made him just as impactful, if not more so, than Duncan, had he been in a similar system with a coach like Gregg Popovich and the same supporting cast.

Young pointed out that accomplishments and rings don’t always paint the full picture when it comes to determining a player’s true impact or skill.

In his view, Garnett’s talent and influence on the court were on par with, if not superior to, Duncan’s, regardless of the difference in their championship totals.
