The Golden State Warriors have extended an invitation to Latvian sharpshooter Davis Bertans to join their training camp.

Bertans, recently waived by the Charlotte Hornets, is looking to secure a spot on the Warriors’ roster for the upcoming NBA season.

Known for his exceptional three-point shooting, Bertans holds a career average of 39.6% from beyond the arc.

This past season, he averaged 8.8 points in 20.8 minutes per game for Charlotte.

NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the Warriors are assessing whether to offer Bertans a full training camp invite.

Stein also mentioned that the Warriors previously used similar auditions to evaluate players like Rudy Gay.

Bertans’ agent, Artūrs Kalnitis, confirmed on Instagram that his client will prepare for the upcoming season with Golden State.

Bertans, 31, was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Hornets last season but was subsequently waived.

Aside from the Warriors, Bertans is also drawing interest from Real Madrid, a top team in Europe.

The Warriors are known for valuing perimeter shooting, which aligns with Bertans’ skill set.
