Anthony Edwards, the rising star of the Minnesota Timberwolves, has expressed admiration for Devin Booker’s performance at the Paris Olympics.
Edwards, who played alongside Booker on Team USA, highlighted how Booker stood out in his role.
He specifically praised Booker for his defensive effort and willingness to take on challenges.
“Steph [Curry] had great games, [Kevin Durant] had great games, LeBron [James] had great games, but Book was guarding the best player, turning down shots,” Edwards said.
Edwards acknowledged Booker’s scoring ability, adding, “Book go for seventy, not gonna lie, I was impressed watching him.”
Booker, known for his offensive prowess in the NBA, embraced a different role during the Olympics.
He focused more on defense, often guarding the opposition’s best player, and demonstrated versatility on the international stage.
This shift in focus showed Booker’s commitment to team success over individual accolades.
In Paris, Booker averaged 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 22 minutes per game.
His efforts helped lead Team USA to a gold medal victory against France in the final.
Booker’s ability to adapt to a new role while still contributing significantly to the team impressed many, including Edwards.
