Real Madrid forward Guerschon Yabusele has announced his readiness for an NBA return after a standout performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Yabusele excelled in the final against Team USA, scoring 20 points and playing a team-high 31 minutes, including a notable poster dunk over LeBron James.

Throughout the Olympics, Yabusele averaged 14 points and 3.3 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game.

He shared his intent to return to the NBA on social media, tweeting, “Been waiting for a 2nd chance.. I’m ready.” His national team teammate, Evan Fournier, supported him with the tweet, “LEAGUE HIM.”

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Yabusele has one season left on his Real Madrid contract, with an NBA buyout of $2.5 million. The buyout would have been $1 million if pursued before July 15.

Yabusele last played in the NBA during the 2018-19 season with the Boston Celtics, where he averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.1 minutes over 74 games.

Last season, Yabusele averaged 10.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game for Real Madrid in the EuroLeague.
