Patrick Beverley is thrilled to be actively playing basketball once more, rather than just being a peripheral player with the Milwaukee Bucks.

He prefers to be in a leading role where he can handle the ball with just seconds left on the clock, showcasing his skills in isolation plays and step-backs.

Beverley acknowledges his successful career and the important roles he’s played, but he doesn’t want to be confined to just standing in the corner as he was with the Bucks.

“I go back to a role where 7 seconds to go, give me the ball,” Bev said. “Watch me rock. Uh, isolation, step back. I get to hoop. You know, that’s what people forget about. Like, it’s cool.

“I played a great role. I had a phenomenal NBA career while I was in the NBA. But I don’t wanna stand in the corner and play with the Bucks.”
