The main highlight of Team USA’s win against Serbia wasn’t their dominance over another top contender. Instead, it was about head coach Steve Kerr choosing not to play Jayson Tatum. Kerr stated that this decision wouldn’t be repeated in the next game.

On Monday in France, Kerr confirmed that Tatum would be playing in Wednesday’s game against South Sudan.

“Jayson will play [Wednesday],” Kerr said. “I’m not going to answer your next question, which is if he plays, who doesn’t. But we’re going to need him, and part of this job for me is to keep everybody engaged and ready, because my experience with this is crazy stuff happens.”
