Trail Blazers sign Bryce McGowens

Bryce McGowens has inked a two-way deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, marking his move from the Charlotte Hornets.

Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on X confirming McGowens’ agreement with Portland.

McGowens, 21, started his NBA journey with the Charlotte Hornets after being drafted 40th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2022.

During his time with the Hornets, he showcased his potential across both NBA and G League stints with the Greensboro Swarm.

Charlotte converted McGowens’ initial two-way contract to a multi-year deal before waiving him on July 7, 2024.

In the 2023-2024 season, McGowens averaged 5.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in nearly 15 minutes per game for the Hornets.
