Chris Paul has inked a new deal with the San Antonio Spurs after his stint with the Golden State Warriors, where his team chose not to guarantee his contract for the 2024-25 season.

According to NBA insider Michael Scotto, the Spurs have signed the 12-time All-Star guard to a fully guaranteed one-year contract worth $12.03 million, with $10.46 million guaranteed and additional potential bonuses.

Paul, at 39 years old, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to San Antonio’s roster, having averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game in the previous season.

By signing Paul the Spurs attempt to balance veteran presence with youthful talent as they navigate the competitive Western Conference.

San Antonio aims to leverage Paul’s playmaking abilities and basketball IQ to mentor younger players and enhance team chemistry.
