The Los Angeles Lakers have made a splash this offseason with minimal roster changes. They’ve traded Spencer Dinwiddie and Taurean Prince for rookies Dalton Knecht and Bronny James, while other players have returned on new contracts or had their options picked up.

With LeBron James set to earn nearly $50 million next season, the Lakers are limited to minimum contracts and have 15 players on fully guaranteed deals. Therefore, their path to improvement lies in trades.

Recently, they’ve engaged in trade talks with the Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Utah Jazz, showing interest in players like Dorian Finney-Smith and Jerami Grant. Talks with the Jazz might involve moving salaries into Utah’s cap space.
