Isaiah Hartenstein is set to join the Oklahoma City Thunder on a lucrative three-year, $87 million contract.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Hartenstein’s decision marks a significant departure from the New York Knicks, where he previously played under a two-year, $16 million contract.

Thunder executive vice president Sam Presti has been actively involved in finalizing the deal with Hartenstein’s agents, Aaron Mintz and Andrew Morrison of CAA Sports.

Last season, Hartenstein showcased his versatility by averaging 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 25.3 minutes per game

Hartenstein’s arrival is expected to provide the Thunder with a reliable anchor inside, complementing their young and developing roster.
