According to sources cited by Ian Begley of SNY.tv, Mikal Bridges notified the Brooklyn Nets earlier this week of his desire to be traded to the New York Knicks. Following his request, a deal with the Knicks was swiftly arranged.
Bridges intended to join the Knicks as a free agent in 2026, using this plan as leverage to dissuade other teams from trading for him.
