Former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham has landed a new role with the Milwaukee Bucks, rejoining the franchise as the top assistant coach under Doc Rivers.
Following his firing by the Lakers earlier this year, Ham’s swift appointment to the Bucks coaching staff underscores his reputation in the NBA.
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed the news, highlighting Ham’s return to the Bucks after a two-year stint with the Lakers.
The move marks a homecoming of sorts for Ham, who previously served as an assistant coach with the Bucks from 2014 to 2020.
Previously it was reported that Ham was expected to a head coaching candidate for other NBA teams.
