LeBron James, reminiscing about his championship-winning partnership with Kyrie Irving, expressed mixed emotions as he watches Irving lead the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA Finals.

During an episode of the “Mind the Game” podcast with JJ Redick, James hailed Irving as a wizard on the basketball floor and shared his pride in seeing Irving’s continued growth.

“I will call Kyrie the wizard all the time. All the time,” the four-time NBA champion said.

James admitted, “I’m so f*cking happy and so proud to watch him continue his growth,” but also confessed, “I’m so f*cking mad at the same time that I’m not his running mate anymore.”

“I don’t have so many words to praise Kyrie that I end up with absolutely none because it’s just so, he’s the most gifted player the NBA has ever seen. He has the best gifts I’ve ever seen of any NBA player,” LeBron added.

“I’ve never seen a guy in my NBA life that feels better at times shooting with his off hand than he does with his primary hand.”

Their conversation highlighted the strong bond between the two former teammates, who clinched an NBA championship together in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Mavericks and the Boston Celtics is scheduled for tomorrow in Boston.

Irving’s standout performances have propelled the Mavericks to the Finals, reigniting memories of his dynamic partnership with James.
