Sunny Hostin of “The View” suggested that Caitlin Clark’s rise to fame is influenced by her race and appearance.

Clark, known for her remarkable NCAA career at Iowa and being the top pick in the WNBA Draft, has seen her popularity soar this year.

Hostin delved into the privileges that may have played a role in Clark’s increasing prominence during Wednesday’s episode of the ABC talk show.

“I do think that there is a thing called pretty privilege,” Hostin said. “There is a thing called White privilege. There is a thing called tall privilege, and we have to acknowledge that.

“And so part of it is about race because if you think about the Brittney Griners of the world, why did she have to go to play in Russia? Because they wouldn’t pay her,” she said of the WNBA.

Sports journalist and OutKick host Clay Travis took to X to share his thoughts on the issue.
