Washington Wizards rookie Bilal Coulibaly sparked controversy with his recent comments about Indiana Pacers star Pascal Siakam, calling overrated.
Doubling down on his remark during an appearance on FanDuel TV’s Run In Back, Coulibaly reiterated his stance, citing his observations from studying game footage.
“I stand by it,” Coulibaly asserted. “I watch the films, I know what he was about to do when he was going left, spinning around, going right. I was like, yeah, he was the easiest superstar to guard.”
Siakam, a former NBA Most Improved Player and NBA champion with the Toronto Raptors, has been a key figure for the Pacers since joining the team.
Known for his versatility and athleticism, Siakam poses a significant challenge for defenders with his ability to attack the basket and score from various spots on the floor.
However, Coulibaly’s remarks suggest that he may have found success in containing Siakam during their matchups, a sentiment that has stirred debate among basketball fans and analysts.
